Shawna Grosskleg
Future Possibilites Co-ordinator
Shawna's journey into the yogasphere began in 2010. Shortly after her first class she knew there was something more to discover! Using yoga as a means of stilling her monkey mind she decided to take it a step further and signed up for a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training through The Athletic Club in 2011. Yoga helps her feel connected, be part of an amazing community and develop friendships through such a beautiful practice. Looking for ways to bring Yoga off the mat she joined the Be the Change: 30 Day Body, Mind, and Soul Challenge and is taking part in Yoga, Action, Adventure: Guatemala! Yoga has changed her life in the most profound way and she looks forward to sharing her love of yoga and supporting Journey of the Yogini as an inspiring force of change.
Shawna helps JOY with community and collaboration. Our two favorite things!

Debbie Lund
Public Relations / Online Promotions Spokesperson
Deb took early retirement from a 32 year career as a Legislative Assistant to various Members of Parliament. Her position involved media relations, research, public relations, office management, speech writing, press releases, newsletters and daily representation on various matters with Cabinet members. In retirement she and her husband live in a century home on 6 acres near a lake in the Lanark Highlands and it was at the Yoga Connection in Perth where Deb discovered her passion for Yoga.
After the move she was a little overwhelmed by the quiet and serenity of her environment and began to notice a lack of focus without the hectic highly charged energy that her career provided. This blurry vision for her life prompted her to try Yoga. Deb found the physical and spiritual strength gained from Yoga was immediate and improved as her practice evolved and came to include the Journey of the Yogini workshops for women in Ottawa.
In the JOY community Deb discovered a wellspring of women working alongside each other, both on and off their mats, to help women and girls globally to a better future. This intention spoke to her and she joined the JOY team in January 2012 as their Public Relations/On-line Promotions Spokesperson. JOY provided a way for her to blend her work experience with her passion for yoga and desire to make a difference in the world.
Debbie helps to handle media enquiries, appearances, and helps invaluably at shining a light on JOY's initiatives and intentions.
